A gorgeous family home, new to the rental market, Quinta dos Amendoeiras countryside retreat, has been beautifully refurbished throughout, paying particular attention to the multiple outside spaces that provide wonderful views of the surrounding countryside both from the veranda’s and the stunning infinity pool.

 

The property owner's love of travel and Asian art is apparent as soon as you arrive, with two impressive, wooden elephants welcoming you at the front door. The owners' adventures have now bought them to the Algarve where their home is full of treasures collected from Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam which they are keen to share with likeminded people looking for a sanctuary, a place of calm and relaxation in a hurried world.

The villa is located just 5 km North of the Market town of Loule, where you can find your nearest supermarkets, plenty of shops, and a good selection of restaurants. Rich in history, Loule has plenty to discover, including the popular old Market building, which was restored in 2007 to its former glory and is now, once again, a bustling place for both locals and visitors to source fresh local produce.

The nearest beaches, such as the beautiful, unspoilt, Praia do Garrao, and the Golden Triangle beach resorts of Quinta do Lago, Dunas Douradas and Vale do Lobo are approximately 18 km away, and the villa is 19km from Faro - Gago Coutinho International airport.

The property has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, is alarmed and benefits from air conditioning throughout. There are additional ceiling fans located in most rooms and for the cooler winter months, central heating can be provided. The house has an excellent Wi-Fi system providing fast fibre Internet both inside and outside the villa. A Sonos music system allows you to connect and listen to your favourite artist.

Parking for multiple vehicles is provided on the private driveway, with shaded areas and secured with electric entry gates.

Living accommodation

The design of this property has the main living spaces located at the rear of the property with full length windows and patio doors enabling direct access to the rear terrace, overlooking the pool and gardens.

From the entrance hall, double doors open into the bright, comfortable living room, decorated in warm, Eastern spiced colours with leather sofas, a log burning fireplace and Smart TV where you can sign-in to your own Netflix/Amazon accounts or watch one of the many international channels provided.

Full length sliding glass doors lead from the sitting room to access a large comfortable covered verandah complete with electric sun blinds to enjoy the view of the infinity pool, garden, orchard and the Loule hills beyond.

Adjacent to the sitting area through arched pillars is the dining room with a large wooden table that comfortably seats eight.

The newly fitted kitchen is very well equipped with all the appliances, crockery, and utensils you would expect from a quality self-catering villa, including a large fridge freezer, separate wine fridge, two ovens, an induction hob & extractor fan, microwave, two dishwashers, ice machine, juicer, and blender.

There is also a lovely coffee bar with an espresso coffee machine and milk frother for your use.

Full height glass doors running the full width of the kitchen open out to the partially covered shady terrace with a gas Barbeque area. The large dining table and comfortable chairs overlooking the pool and garden also benefit from fabulous views of the surrounding countryside. This is the perfect spot to enjoy an Al Fresco meal with a glass of delicious Portuguese wine at any time of day but a cocktail hour at sunset really is a special experience.

Next to the kitchen is a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer and access to an outside space for hanging laundry.

Located between the kitchen and utility room is a staircase leading down to the lower ground floor where there is a cosy TV room with a Smart TV, DVD and music CD library, a perfect location to escape the mid afternoon sun.

Sleeping accommodation

There are four bedrooms in this property, all with reverse cycle air conditioning for summer and winter use.

The first floor is dedicated to the Master suite, the other 3 bedrooms are located on the ground floor.

The first floor Master suite with dressing area and en suite bathroom has a delightful private terrace, with views of the surrounding countryside, which is the perfect spot for a quiet moment before you start your day. The master bedroom is furnished with a king size bed and has a smart TV, Bose Wave radio and DVD player.  Walk through the dressing area with plenty of wardrobe space to the large bathroom fitted with a corner bath, separate shower cubicle and double sinks.

On the ground floor, to the right of the entrance, is bedroom two, which is furnished with a super king size bed. There is direct entry to an adjoining shower room that can also be accessed from the entrance hall if required, or kept locked exclusively for the occupants of this bedroom.

To the left of the entrance, are bedrooms three and four, which share a shower room with double sinks, situated in between the bedrooms.

Bedroom three is furnished with a king size bed and Bedroom four has twin beds.

Outside space

With a location like this, it is all about the outside space and the spectacular views. The extensive grounds of this property are well maintained and enclosed with security fencing. There are a variety of native plants and fruit trees, including almonds, olives, figs, plums, lemons, avocados, apricots, oranges, and limes for you to help yourself and enjoy.

The large, partially covered, upper terrace that leads off from the kitchen and living room benefits from elevated views over the pool, garden, and surrounding countryside. It is furnished with comfortable outdoor sofa and chairs alongside a dining table with seating for eight adjacent to the gas Barbecue area, conveniently located next to the kitchen.

The terrace that leads down from the main house and surrounds the swimming pool is highlighted beautifully with wonderful art pieces and lighting, that give this outside space a magical feel during the evenings.

Down at pool level, the large infinity, saltwater swimming pool 12m x 4.5m, which can be heated at a supplement, is surrounded by decking on multiple levels and has an adjacent lawn area, all of which would be ideal for yoga, exercise, or relaxation on one of the top quality sun loungers provided. There is a convenient poolside shower room and WC.

There is a poolside 'Buddha Bar' giving ultimate shade for resting, relaxing or reading and a laptop friendly coffee corner to catch up on communication. The bar area has been well equipped with a drinks fridge, ice machine, dishwasher and plenty of pool safe table and glass wear.

    How to Book your Holiday

    A 25% deposit payment of the holiday price is required in order to secure your booking. We will then send you a booking confirmation and request your full details and travel details.

    The balance payment plus refundable damage deposit is due ten weeks prior to travel. You will receive a reminder by email.

    When we have received the balance payment we will send you the directions to the property and arrival instructions.
