Countryside Retreat Close To Loule

The property owners love of travel and all things Southeast Asian is apparent as soon as you arrive, with two large, wooden elephant figures located either side of the front door. The owners' adventures have now bought them to the Algarve where their home is full of treasures collected from Myanmar and the nearby countries, which they are keen to share with likeminded people looking for a sanctuary, a place of calm and relaxation in which to indulge in the Algarve countryside.

The villa is located just 5 km North of the Market town of Loule, where you can find your nearest supermarkets, plenty of shops, and a good selection of restaurants. Rich in history, Loule has plenty to discover, including the popular old Market building, which was restored in 2007 to its former glory and is now, once again, a bustling place for both locals and visitors to source fresh local produce.

The nearest beaches can be found within the Golden Triangle resorts of Quinta do Lago, Dunas Douradas and Vale do Lobo, approximately 18 km away, and the villa is 19km from Faro - Gago Coutinho International airport.  

The property has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, is alarmed and benefits from air conditioning throughout. There are additional ceiling fans located in most rooms and for the cooler winter months, central heating can be provided. The house has an excellent Wi-Fi system providing fast internet both inside and outside the villa. A Sonos music system allows you to connect and listen to your favourite artist.

Parking for multiple vehicles is provided on the private driveway, with shaded areas and secured with electric entry gates.  

Living accommodation

The design of this property has the main living spaces located at the rear of the property with full length windows and patio doors enabling direct access to the rear terrace, overlooking the pool and gardens.

From the entrance hall, double doors open into the bright, comfortable living room, decorated in warm, Eastern spiced colours with leather sofas, a log burning fireplace and Smart TV where you can logon into your Netflix account or watch one of the many international channels provided. 

Adjacent to the lounge area is the dining room with large wooden table and plenty of seating. Full height glass doors open out to access the raised terrace overlooking the garden and pool area.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances, crockery, and utensils you would expect from a quality self-catering villa, including a large fridge freezer, separate wine fridge, two ovens, an induction hob & extractor fan, microwave, dishwasher, Ice machine, Juicer, and blender. There is also a lovely coffee bar with espresso coffee machine and milk frother for your use.

Full height glass doors running the full width of the kitchen open out to the partially covered terrace with gas Barbeque area. The large dining table and comfortable chairs overlooking the pool and garden also benefit from fabulous views of the surrounding countryside. This is the perfect spot to enjoy an Al Fresco meal with a glass of delicious Portuguese wine at any time of day, but an evening meal or drinks at sunset really is a special experience.

Next to the kitchen is a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and access to a small outside space for hanging laundry.  

Located between the kitchen and utility room is a staircase leading down to the lower ground floor where there is a cosy TV room with Smart TV.

Sleeping accommodation

There are four bedrooms in this property all with air conditioning. The first floor is dedicated to the Master suite, the other 3 bedrooms are located on the ground floor.

The first floor Master suite with dressing area and private bathroom has a delightful private terrace, overlooking the pool, garden, and surrounding countryside, which is the perfect spot for a quiet moment before you start your day. The master bedroom is furnished with a king size bed and has a TV. Walk through the dressing area with plenty of wardrobe space to the large bathroom fitted with a corner bath, separate shower cubicle and double sinks.

On the ground floor, to the right of the entrance, is bedroom Two which is furnished with a king size bed. There is direct entry to an adjoining shower room, that can also be accessed from the entrance hall if required, or kept locked exclusively for the occupants of this bedroom.

To the left of the entrance, are bedrooms Three and Four which have a shower room situated in between the two bedrooms, to share.

Bedroom Three is furnished with a king size bed and Bedroom four has twin beds.

Outside space

With a location like this, it is all about the outside space and the views. The plentiful grounds of this property are well maintained and totally enclosed with fencing. There are a variety of native plants and fruit trees, including almonds, olives, figs, plums, lemons, avocados, apricots, oranges, and limes for you to help yourself and enjoy.

The newly decked terrace that leads down from the main house and surrounds the swimming pool is highlighted beautifully with wonderful art pieces and lighting, that give this outside space a magical feel during the evenings.  

The large, partially covered, upper terrace that leads off from the kitchen and living room benefits from elevated views over the pool, garden, and surrounding countryside. It is furnished for lounging with comfortable seating, and dining alongside the gas Barbecue area, conveniently located next to the kitchen.

Down at pool level, the large, saltwater swimming pool (approximately 12m x 6m), which can be heated at a supplement, is surrounded by decking on multiple levels and has an adjacent lawn area, all of which would be ideal for yoga, exercise, or relaxation on one of the quality sun loungers provided. There is a convenient poolside shower room and WC.

There is a poolside, shaded, kitchen which has been well equipped with a fridge freezer, ice machine, dishwasher and plenty of pool safe table and glass wear. This useful space also provides a comfortable seating area for lounging.
