A Ruína

During the devastating earthquake of 1755, Albufeira sustained irreparable damage, including partial destruction of its Castle walls. However, in 1971, a new chapter began for the city with the opening of A Ruína restaurant. This unique restaurant was built using the remaining structure of the Castle's Tower and offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience.

Inside, there are four different dining rooms to choose from, including one that features an ancient well. During the summer months, guests can also dine al fresco on the terrace while enjoying views of the picturesque Fisherman's Beach.

A Ruína specializes in preparing delicious, fresh seafood and fish that is sourced locally. The menu offers a wide variety of options to choose from, including an array of tender meats.
