The Royal Golf Course, designed by Architect Rocky Roquemore, based on original drawings made by Sir Henry Cotton, was founded in 1997.

A symbol of golf in the Algarve, this Par 72 18-hole course is famous for what must be the most celebrated golf image in Europe, the fabulous Par 3, 16th hole with sandstone cliff-top carryover.

This course has a lot more to offer, with immaculately maintained rolling fairways set among pine trees and beautiful lakes surrounded by wildflowers, other stand out holes include the almost island green of the 9th, the tough approach of the 6th and the treacherous 11th hole.
