Laranjal Golf Course (6061m) designed by Portuguese Architect, Jorge Santana da Silva, and founded in 2009, is the newest addition to the collection of Quinta do Lago courses, and was voted Best Golf Course at the Portuguese 2011 Travel awards. The area was originally an orange grove, hence the name, Laranja being Portuguese for the fruit, Orange.

This Par 72, 18-hole championship course, boasts some spectacular fairways, and is renowned for its five beautiful lakes, surrounded by umbrella pines, cork and of course orange trees. The course is fairly flat, with narrow fairways and strategically placed sand traps. Concentration and accuracy are required to navigate your way through the mixture of Par 3´s and Par 5´s of this testing course.
