A Ruina Restaurant
During an earthquake of 1755, the city of Albufeira (or Al-Buhera as it was then called) suffered irreparable damage, with it's Castle walls being partially destroyed. Using the wall structure from the Tower of the castle the restaurant A Ruína opened its doors in 1971. There are four interior rooms, one being an ancient well room, and during the Summer months you can enjoy the terraces and the decking overlooking the popular fishermans beach.
Specialising in the preparation of delicious fresh seafood and fish sourced locally, the choice is enourmous. Tender meat is also on the menu for the meat lovers among you and the service is most welcoming.
