Golf Courses in the popular resort of Vale do Lobo.
Vale do Lobo Ocean - 18 hole|Par 71|6,137m
The Ocean Golf Course, designed by Architect, Sir Henry Cotton, and founded in 1968, as the name suggests, features some of the most spectacular Ocean views in Portugal. Originally designed as two 9-hole courses, which were merged 20 years later in 1995 to make a Par 71 18-hole course. The fairways are more accommodating than its sister course (Royal course Vale do Lobo) yet still offer challenging and memorable holes, including the Par 5 3rd and 6th holes, Par 4 11th and 14th holes and Par 3 15th hole which runs alongside Vale do Lobo beach overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Vale do Lobo Royal - 18 hole|Par 72|6,059m
The Royal Golf Course, designed by Architect Rocky Roquemore, based on original drawings made by Sir Henry Cotton, was founded in 1997. A symbol of golf in the Algarve, this Par 72 18-hole course is famous for what must be the most celebrated golf image in Europe, the fabulous Par 3, 16th hole with sandstone cliff-top carryover. This course has a lot more to offer, with immaculately maintained rolling fairways set among pine trees and beautiful lakes surrounded by wildflowers, other stand out holes include the almost island green of the 9th, the tough approach of the 6th and the treacherous 11th hole.
